Loungefly Water Bottles

Loungefly backpack |
Loungefly backpacks (like this Mickey Mouse print bag) are super cute, but they’re not the most practical when it comes to spending a day at a theme park with them - and that’s mostly because they don’t have many options for hydration. Solutions I’ve found so far:
Hydro Flask 18 oz.
The 18 oz. Hydro Flask Stainless Steel Standard Mouth Water Bottle ($25) is 10.3" tall, 2.85" in diameter, and does not fit in the side pockets but does fit perfectly inside the main compartment of the bag. I paired it with the Standard Mouth Flex Straw Cap Black ($15) and it’s super convenient. If you go this route, you might want to also get an organizer insert to keep it from being tossed around inside.
Generic 8.5 oz. Bottle
This long, skinny bottle (“Insulated Water Bottle, Coffee Thermos Mug, Double Wall Vacuum Insulation, Fashionable Style Skinny Mini Slim Stainless Steel Water Bottle”) ($7–15) was recommended on r/loungefly and with a diameter of just 1.75" it fits in the side pockets, but the 10" length makes this awkward and the diameter is just a touch too small, meaning it can slip out of the side pocket way too easily. (If the bag is stuffed full that may change this; I tried it with an empty bag.)
S’well 9 oz.
With a diameter of 2.6" and a height of 7.9" this S'well Stainless Steel Water Bottle, 9oz, Triple Layered Vacuum Insulated beverage container ($21–25) fits the side pocket like a glove and doesn’t extend too high. This may be Goldilock’s “just right” of the three bottles. I wish it held a bit more than 9 oz. but then I fear it wouldn’t be insulated. Pair this with a Sport Cap ($16) for convenience. This plus the 18 oz. Hydro Flask (stored internally) might be just the thing for a full summer day.
Disposable water bottles
This all came about when I realized a disposable Dasani 16.9 oz. water bottle (2.5" diameter, 8" height) fit the side pocket perfectly. Higher capacity and can’t beat the convenience, but at the prices you’ll pay in the parks, not exactly cost-effective. (Though you can re-use a disposable water bottle at least once or twice...)
Bottle carriers
I have successfully used these Xxerciz Water Bottle Carriers ($12/ea) to attach the 18 oz. Hydro Flask and a Contigo 16 oz. coffee mug (with 8 oz of coffee) to the side pockets, but to be honest, I never felt all that comfortable with the setup. The carriers didn’t connect to the bag all that securely, and it put strain on the side pockets I wasn’t 100% comfortable with. Might work in a pinch, but it wouldn’t be my every day plan.
