I loved The Gentlemen (2019). My friends in college and I devoured Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998) and, later, loved Snatch (2000). When I heard he was revisiting The Gentlemen universe for a Netflix series, I was stoked. Put it on my calendar. Binged it this past weekend. And ... Yeah, no. Like another reviewer, after delighting in the first episode, it just got ... Boring. Somehow. It’s like whatever creative madness that inspired the original movie, and first episode, just burned off. Awesome Labrador, though; maybe if the dog had had more screen time?
